WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?

Your reputation as a sane and competent night watch person has earned you a job taking care of a lonely mansion house in the mountains for the festive season.

There are no bunnyjacks in the mansion – of course not!

What a ridiculous notion!

How could there possibly be a clandestine cult of sentient buck-toothed carrot crunchers busy behind the scenes?

All you have to do, is get through twelve nights.

How hard could it possibly be?

SAFTEY FIRST

This is a solo comedy horror game which includes killer bunnies, evil cults and the slow deterioration of sanity. In these pages you will find murder, blood, magic, rituals, levels of madness, fire, mayhem and singing skulls.

If those aren't your cup of tea then put the bunnies back in the box and walk away now.

HOW TO PLAY

To play Bunnyjacks Winter Watch you will need:

  1. A means of making diary entries (eg: pen, paper, laptop etc.). This will be your 'log book' which you will write 'in character' and you can make your entries as detailed or brief as you wish.
  2. A means of rolling different sided dice (eg the online dice roller at rolladie.net)
  3. An old blanket (or a sheet of plain paper) and some scissors.
  4. A penchant for both the ludicrous and the macabre.

Premise:

You have been hired as the winter watch person for a creepy looking mansion house high in the remote and snowy mountains. You need to ask yourself some probing questions – why the HELL did you take a winter watch person job at that creepy looking mansion house high up in the remote and snowy mountains? Are you mad?

We could suppose it's possible that...

a) You actually are mad

b) You're desperate and need the money

c)You're doing it as a favour for a family member or friend.

d) Creepy? Is it? You hadn't noticed... you think it's rather nice!

When you begin your watch, you are given a log book to write diary entries in, a list of chores to complete, a set of keys(to open/lock the doors of the mansion), a flashlight (for creeping around the cellar, the grounds and any other unlit places.), some bottles of energy drink (more about those later), a blanket (more about that later as well) and a copy of the rules for winter watch staff.

You can drink 1 energy drink at any time, to allow you to complete 2 chores in one day instead of the usual one. You have 6 energy drinks.

Your shift lasts for twelve nights.

Each day/night you must:

  • Make a log book entry
  • Complete a chore
  • Stay warm
  • Not go mad

What could possibly go wrong?

BUNNYJACKS - WINTER WATCH can be played as a stand alone or as a sequel  to BUNNYJACKS - NIGHT WATCH and uses the same SWISH, DAMN, WTF?  d3 system which is the unholy brain child of Penny Blake. If you would like to use the system for your own games or write a BUNNYJACKS spin-off, please reach out via twitter @PennyBlake1827 or email glitzydemon@gmail.com

BONUS EXPANSION - TWELFTH NIGHT!

Now includes this one-night  bonus expansion ( which can also be played as a stand alone)

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?

THIS IS A ONE-NIGHT EXPANSION TO BUNNYJACKS 'WINTER WATCH'

(but it could be played as a stand alone)

Your beloved friend has gone missing.

They took a job as a winter watch person at a creepy looking mansion house way up in the remote and snowy mountains.

They were supposed to check in with you each night – but so far you have heard nothing.

Armed with nothing but an axe (you've seen horror movies, axes are good)

you drive up to the mountains to bring them home.

But when you arrive, your friend is nowhere to be found.

Instead the house bears testimony to terrifying and bloodthirsty events.

Carrots litter the hall, bloodstained paw marks are everywhere, the house is surrounded by a ring of rabbit-shaped snowmen...

Before you can begin unraveling the mystery however, snow begins to fall, softly at first, but by nightfall there is a howling blizzard, the road home is blocked and it's obvious you are going nowhere.

As you peer out into the darkness, the mansion seems surrounded by thousands of glowing eyes.

Everything will be fine.

Just keep the doors locked and the fires burning.

All you have to do, is get through the night.
